CLOSE TO HOME follows a former neighbor as he encounters three estranged siblings reuniting for their father's funeral. Now adults, they reflect on the secrets and shared experiences that pushed them apart and brought them together. The reading will feature VTP company members Julie Jirousek, Christine Hamel, Shelley Bolman, Bill Mootos, and Chris Chew, and will be directed by company member Dale Place.
Playwright Dan Remmes is a recipient of the 2002 New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship for Play Writing and Screenwriting. He is currently working on the book for the Broadway-bound GRUMPY OLD MEN: THE MUSICAL. As an actor, Dan has appeared in theatres from New York to Los Angeles and on such television shows as LAW & ORDER: SVU, BLIND JUSTICE, CONVICTION, and LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT.
